Dan Mayers' Home Page

Dan Mayers Graduated from UC Davis in spring 2005. He studied biology with an emphasis in Evolution and Ecology. His goals are to one day attend medical school, and conduct research in the field of microbiology. He believes that the inter-specific interactions between our flora and our organ systems play a critical roll in the pathogenesis of diseases previously thought to have no know cause or soley a genetic cause. Dan believes that humanity has been able to greatly exceed it carrying capacity due to the evolution of higher human thought and the development of science. He has great interest in global climate change and the problem of sustainability. He believes that the direct human health effects of vehicle emissions, pollution, etc. are a critical variable when answering the sustainability question. Dan is the Assistant Program Manager of the STEPS program and provides support for the students, faculty and staff in the STEPS program
