Collaboration of UC Davis biomass and biofuel research experts
Funded by the California Energy Commission's PIER Program, the Biomass Collaborative is centered at UC Davis and advises state officials and industry on biomass-to-energy potential resources.  The STEPS Program is partnered with the Biomass Collaborative.
Funded by the California Energy Commission's PIER Program, the Wind Energy Collaborative is centered at UC Davis and advises state officials and industry on wind energy potential resources.
The EEC's mission is to facilitate the transfer of technology and ideas from research to the marketplace in the area of demand-side reduction.  The EEC is jointly led by the Graduate School of Management and ITS-Davis.
Prior to the STEPS Program, ITS-Davis hosted a 4-year research initiative to investigate technical, business, and policy challenges associated with a future hydrogen economy.  Many of the STEPS researchers were part of the Hydrogen Pathways Program.
Funded by the California Energy Commission's PIER Program, the PHEV Research Center is investigating the feasibility of PHEV vehicles entering the market, and creates a research roadmap for the Energy Commission that recommends research priorities.
The HEV Design Center is led by Dr. Andrew Frank and helps graduate students develop skills on advanced vehicle design and development.  The Center has led UC Davis' Challenge X design team for the US DOE competition and has won a number of awards over the past few decades.
Under direction from the Governor's office, UC Davis and UC Berkeley developed two advisory research reports outlining a potential structure to a Low Carbon Fuel Standard that, if enacted, could help California reduce carbon emissions from the transportation sector.
UC Davis is recruiting 14 new research faculty members ove rthe next two years to enhance the university's energy research capabilities.  The Initiative also involves the creation of a new energy research institute.
Hosted by UC Davis' John Muir Institute of the Environment, this website is a resource for researchers to learn about other campus programs related to climate change.
