Julie Witcover jwitcover@ucdavis.edu Julie Witcover is a post-doctoral researcher at ITS working on indirect land use effect of biofuels policy. She received her PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from UC Davis in December 2008, with a dissertation entitled “Shaping Land Use Along an Agricultural Frontier: A Dynamic Household Model for Early Small-Scale Settlers in the Brazilian Amazon.” She previously worked as a research analyst at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in Washington, DC, focusing on tropical deforestation. |

Gouri Mishra (TTP, 08-10) gouri.mishra@gmail.com Gouri's research interests include water impacts of alternative low carbon transportation fuels. He is currently working on electrcity and bioethanol from corn and cornstover. He is a second year TTP student. Prior to UC Davis, Gouri provided business and technology consulting services to shipping, ports and railroad operators. Gouri was involved in projects related to business process restructuring and automation, project appraisal and valuation, project financing, and corporate communications strategy. Gouri worked for clients in US West Coast, India, Singapore and Australia. |

Gary Chan (ECI, 09-11) gkchan@ucdavis.edu Gary Chan is a Master’s student in Water Resource Engineering from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is working on the water impacts from the Low-Carbon Fuel Standard. Gary received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. |

Eric Winford (Geography Graduate Group, 09-11) emwinford@ucadavis.edu Eric Winford is a Master's student in Geography. He's an environmental geographer studying natural resource management and community development. Eric is working on the sustainability of utilizing forest biomass in the Low-Carbon Fuel Standard. Before coming to Davis, Eric worked for the Nevada Tahoe Conservation District and lived in South Lake Tahoe. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. |
